USDA Announces Proposed Rule for the Inspection of Catfish and Catfish Products

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) on February 18 announced a proposed rule requiring inspection of catfish and catfish products by USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). NMFS removes seven formerly overfished stocks from 2007 list and adds new ones

The report tracks both population levels and harvest rates for species caught in federal waters between three and 200 miles off U.S. coasts.
