On a global level, organizations belonging to the UN family take the global lead on the issues of environment and development. The World Trade Organization (WTO) serves as a forum to discuss the relationship between trade and environment, and trade and development. Other international governmental organizations (IGOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), complete the framework.
